(Long Stay Business Visa Sub-Class 457). The long-term application process begins with an Australian Company sponsorship.
This is the route which Candidates must take if not Citizens or Permanent Residents and wanting to work long-term in
Australia. With long stay visas you must firstly have an eligible Australian Company sponsor you. Once you have a
sponsorship Company, two forms need to be obtained (ie. forms 1067 and 1068) from the DIMIA or your local Australian High
Commission. The Australian sponsor Company must then complete the 'Business Sponsorship Application' form (1067).

There are two categories within this form :
the 'Standard Business Sponsorship' (SBS) for limited numbers;
and
the 'Pre-Qualified Business Sponsorship' (PQBS) for larger numbers.
These categories are specific to the number of employees that the sponsor Company wishes to sponsor. SBS and PQBS
applications both require application fees which are non-refundable, to accompany the completed form 1067.

So to succintly describe the process :
The sponsor Company submits form 1067. Upon receiving DIMIA approval, another form is submitted (form 1068 'Nomination by
a Business Sponsor Application'). Upon this approval the sponsor Company has nearly completed its role in the sponsorship
process with only to forward the Sponsees DIMIA approval documents to the Sponsee (via fax or mail). The sponsorship
process is now squarely in the hands of the Sponsee. Upon the Sponsee recieving these approval documents, they complete
