Mobile (Cellular) Phones
Australia offers an extensive and effective digital network. Digital mobile phones that are brought in to the country become operational immediately.
Since 2000, attempts have been made to phase out the analogue network in Australia. It still exists but major changes have been made. If you wish
to use an analogue phone, please contact an Australian service carrier provider. As rates and deals vary considerably, you may wish to contact a
Optus or Telstra telecommunications representative for details.
